Halfsim Terms of ServiceEffective date: July 12, 2026
Article 1 (Purpose)These Terms of Service govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Hills Inc. (the "Company") and users, together with the conditions and procedures for use, in connection with the travel data eSIM e-commerce services provided through Halfsim (halfsim.com, the "Service") operated by the Company.
Article 2 (Definitions)• "Product" means a travel eSIM sold by the Company through the Service, offered by country, duration, and data allowance.• "User" means a person who purchases a Product or uses the Service under these Terms.• "Withdrawal" means a User's cancellation of the contract after purchasing a Product.• "Commencement of use" means the moment the purchased eSIM is installed on a device and first connects to a network.• "Payment processor" means an electronic payment service provider that processes payments on behalf of the Company.
Article 3 (Publication, Effect, and Amendment of the Terms)• The Company posts these Terms on the Service so that Users can easily review them.• The Company may amend these Terms to the extent not in conflict with applicable laws, including the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce and the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions.• When amending these Terms, the Company announces the effective date and reasons at least 7 days before the effective date, or at least 30 days in advance for changes unfavorable to Users.• Users who do not agree to the amended Terms may stop using the Service; continued use of the Service after the announced effective date constitutes agreement to the amended Terms.
Article 4 (Provision of the Service)The Company provides the following services:• Sale, issuance, and delivery of travel eSIM Products• Purchase-related consultation and customer support• Other ancillary services determined by the Company
The Service is in principle provided 24 hours a day, year-round, but may be temporarily suspended when necessary for operations such as system inspection, maintenance, or replacement. In such cases the Company gives prior notice, or subsequent notice where unavoidable. Article 5 (Products and Supply)• Products: travel eSIMs by country, duration, and data allowance (unlimited, daily-refill, fixed-volume, etc.)• For unlimited plans, speed restrictions may apply after a certain amount of high-speed data is used, in accordance with the local carrier's fair use policy (FUP).• Delivery: a QR code or profile download is provided without delay after payment is completed• Commencement of use: when the eSIM is installed on a device and first connects to a network• Details such as supported countries, usage period, and data allowance follow what is displayed on each Product page.
Article 6 (Formation of Contract and Payment)• A purchase contract is formed when a User applies for a purchase on the Product page and completes payment.• Payments are made through electronic payment methods provided by the payment processor, and Users must provide accurate information required for payment.• The Company may withhold or refuse acceptance of a purchase request for unavoidable reasons such as stock shortage or technical failure, in which case the paid amount is refunded in full.• A minor must obtain the consent of a legal representative to purchase a Product; a contract concluded without such consent may be cancelled by the minor or the legal representative.
Article 7 (Withdrawal and Refunds)The Company complies with Article 17 of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce.• Users may withdraw their purchase within 7 days from the date of purchase.• However, withdrawal is restricted if the eSIM has already been installed on a device, if use has commenced such as by connecting to a network, if the Product has been damaged for reasons attributable to the User, or if resale has become impracticable due to the passage of time. This constitutes commencement of supply of digital content under Article 17(2) of the same Act, and the Company gives prior notice of this on the purchase screen.• Refunds are returned to the original payment method within 3–7 business days after the withdrawal is approved.• After use has commenced, no partial refunds are provided for remaining periods or remaining data.• Details of withdrawal and refunds are governed by the separate Refund Policy.
Article 8 (Overpayments)If an overpayment occurs, the Company refunds the full amount to the User. If the overpayment occurred for reasons attributable to the Company, the Company bears the costs required for the refund.
Article 9 (User Obligations)Users must not engage in any of the following:• Providing false information when applying for a purchase• Misappropriating another person's payment information• Reselling purchased Products for profit without the Company's prior consent• Using the Service for improper purposes or interfering with its normal operation• Any other violation of applicable laws or these Terms
Article 10 (Company Obligations)• The Company does not engage in acts prohibited by applicable laws or these Terms, and strives to provide the Service continuously and reliably.• The Company protects Users' personal information in accordance with applicable laws and the Privacy Policy.• The Company promptly handles opinions or complaints raised by Users when it deems them justified, and informs Users of the reason and schedule when handling takes time.
Article 11 (Suspension of Service and Disclaimer)Unless there is intent or gross negligence, the Company is not liable for damages arising from any of the following:• External factors beyond the Company's control, such as local carrier outages or network conditions• Force majeure such as natural disasters, war, or government regulations• The User's device not supporting eSIM or having usage restrictions (such as carrier lock)• Service disruptions caused by reasons attributable to the User
Article 12 (Intellectual Property)Copyrights and other intellectual property rights in the Service and its content belong to the Company. Users must not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use them for profit, or allow third parties to do so, without the Company's prior consent.
Article 13 (Privacy)The Company collects personal information only to the minimum extent necessary to provide the Service, and the handling of collected personal information is governed by the Privacy Policy.
Article 14 (Dispute Resolution)• The Company strives to reflect justified opinions or complaints raised by Users and to compensate for damages.• If a dispute arises between the Company and a User, both parties consult in good faith to reach an amicable resolution.• If no agreement is reached, Users may apply for mediation to bodies such as the Consumer Dispute Mediation Committee of the Korea Consumer Agency or the Electronic Documents and Transactions Dispute Mediation Committee.
Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)These Terms are interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, and any lawsuit relating to the use of the Service shall be filed with the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.These Terms are authentic in Korean; in case of any discrepancy between a translation and the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.
